ART GURU SIA respects your privacy. This policy explains how personal data is processed when you visit the GURU Fotostudija website, contact the studio or book the premises.

2. What data we process
Depending on how you contact us, we may process your name, telephone number, email address, booking date and time, rental duration, number of participants, booking comments and the contents of our correspondence.
If an invoice or other accounting document is required, we also process the details provided for that purpose. Website technical data (for example, IP address and browser data) is processed only to the extent that it is automatically transmitted by the website infrastructure and is necessary for website security and operation.
3. Why we use your data
We process data in order to:
- answer questions and requests;
- arrange, confirm and administer bookings;
- contact you about the studio rental;
- issue invoices and comply with accounting obligations;
- keep the website secure and prevent misuse;
- handle complaints and protect ART GURU SIA’s legitimate rights.
The main legal bases are entering into and performing a contract, complying with legal obligations and our legitimate interest in ensuring the secure operation of the studio. If analytics are used, they are activated only after separate consent.
Without the data needed for booking and communication, we cannot arrange the rental. A booking does not in itself mean consent to receive marketing communications.
4. Where data is processed
Booking data is sent to a separate online booking system hosted on Hetzner infrastructure in the European Union.
For the internal organisation of bookings, we may use Google Calendar and Notion. Data may also be accessible to website and IT infrastructure providers, our accountant, a bank or a payment service provider — only to the extent necessary for the relevant task.
We do not sell personal data. If a service provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, the appropriate safeguards provided for by the GDPR are applied.
5. How long we keep data
Data is kept for no longer than necessary for bookings, correspondence, handling potential complaints and protecting ART GURU SIA’s rights. Invoice and accounting data is kept for the period required by law. After the relevant period ends, data is deleted or anonymised unless there is another lawful reason to retain it.
6. Cookies and Google Analytics
The website may use technically necessary cookies or local storage for the operation of the website, language and booking form, and to remember your cookie choice. Separate consent is not required for these technologies.
Google Analytics 4 is used only after you consent through the cookie banner. If you decline, analytics is not loaded. You can change your choice in the website’s cookie settings.
The website contains a link to Instagram. The Instagram feed is not embedded; when you visit Instagram, Meta’s privacy policy applies.
7. Your rights
You may request access to your data, its correction, deletion or restriction of processing, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where provided by law, you may receive your data in a portable format or withdraw consent previously given.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data State Inspectorate of Latvia (Datu valsts inspekcija): www.dvi.gov.lv.
8. Changes to this policy
If the services we use, our data-processing practices or legal requirements change, we will update this policy and indicate a new effective date. The current version will always be available on this website.
